Action Profile® Feedback#

The aim of the Action Profile® is to better acquaint you with your particular style of making decisions and solving problems. This awareness, together with the suggestions and action plans discussed in the feedback sessions, can increase your efficiency and effectiveness.

Your Profile will help you more clearly research and define projects and goals; maintain awareness of alternative approaches and viewpoints; become attuned to trends and future consequences; clarify the relevant issues; and be more prepared to take appropriate action.

Knowing, understanding, and working with your Profile decreases the likelihood of you overlooking important elements in a project, while increasing your ability to work harmoniously with others.

It provides a logical, Decision System rationale for a whole host of behavioural and personality phenomena which can facilitate complicated and often obscure communication and action. We tend to begin these decision-making processes in our areas of highest motivation, spending more time and energy in those areas than in our areas of lesser motivation. The time and energy devoted to these other areas is proportional to their relative magnitude in your life as reflected in your Profile.

The Profile expresses Motivation Preferences, which can also be thought of as problem solving and decision-making styles. There is nothing inherently good or bad about a particular Profile. However, inherent in all styles is that certain areas will be more and less strongly marked. Every high area in the Action Profile® can be a potential strength or weakness, depending upon circumstances. Similarly, every low area in the Action Profile® has potential strength and weakness

INSIGHT: For instance, the Decision Pattern explains why you feel excited and stimulated by certain elements of a job, yet bored and frustrated with others. It explains why you persistently forget or avoid certain aspects, why you tend to make certain types of mistake, why you change the boundaries of your job in various ways.

The Action Profile® also explains why other people do seemingly inexplicable things, why they seem to focus on the wrong priority or seem totally unable to understand what you are getting at. It explains why some people are easy for you to work with and others annoying and difficult. The Action Profile® system provides a set of principles that enable you to predict your own and others’ most likely behaviour, under various circumstances. This means that you can more easily assess the likely effectiveness of such behaviour and provide for improvements.
